Dylan is no stranger to Newbridge, as he made the transition to the school last year as a grade 6 student. He not only developed as a hockey player, but also as a student and young man. He credits the small class sizes and the amount of interaction with his teachers as the pillars of his success in the classroom.
Along with being an extremely talented hockey player, Dylan also enjoys reading and golfing. He is a very dedicated young man that views this as an opportunity to further develop as a student-athlete. He is looking forward to developing even more new friendships as well.
Dylan would like to thank all of his past coaches for everything they have taught him, but is looking forward to this new experience and growing as a student-athlete with the Newbridge Academy Varsity program.
“Last year Dylan completed his first year at Newbridge Academy. Dylan is an engaged student who transitioned very well to our academic environment. Dylan has also demonstrated the ability to be a student of the game which is enabling him to maximize his overall development as a student-athlete.”
“I believe Dylan’s best attribute as a player is his vision. Coupled with his Hockey IQ he is able to see plays develop a step or two ahead of his opponent and he has an ability to lure them into a false sense of security. His individual skill is impressive, but the ability to make those around you better is a separator at any level. In one game, I watched him lure a defenseman to overplay him on a 1vs2 rush and while pulling the D out of position he chipped the puck over that Ds stick into space allowing a teammate, arriving late into the zone, the opportunity to walk into a high quality scoring chance. You don’t see that type of vision very often – especially at the atom level.”
“We wish Dylan the best of luck as he continues on his developmental path with the Newbridge PW 2004s.”
