Crocker joins Newbridge Academy Varsity Program!
Adam Crocker has committed to play for the Newbridge Academy Pee Wee Minor Varsity Hockey Program. Adam played for the West Hants Warriors throughout his Novice and Atom years. He was a member of last year’s Atom AA team that won the Birthplace of Hockey tournament, the Nova Scotia Mainland Championship and finished second in the provincial finals.
Adam has also played with a variety of spring teams with his favourite moment being a championship in the Atlantic Cup during his first year of Novice- the same day the Mooseheads won the Memorial Cup. Adam wears number 19 in honour of his favourite player- Jonathan Toews and he attempts to emulate his strong two-way game.
Baseball is tied with hockey for Adam’s affection. He plays shortstop and first base for the Hantsport Shamrock. His team is hosting the Mosquito AAA Provincial tournament later this summer. He is a southpaw (left-handed) and truly enjoys pitching whenever he gets the opportunity. This summer Adam is also playing for the Valley United U-11 soccer team.
Adam also enjoys Taekwondo and is particularly interested in learning new patterns, practicing his kicks and breaking boards. He hopes to test for his red belt later this fall.
Adam is very excited to be playing varsity hockey at Newbridge Academy. Adam has been a student at Newbridge for the past year and loves the school, the teachers and his classmates. He is a big fan of the project-based learning and the field trips. He looks forward to going to school each day.
“I am excited to have Adam as a part of the inaugural Pee Wee Minor Varsity Team. With his above average athletic ability he will make a great addition to our team.” ~Jamie Henderson, Head Coach Pee Wee Minor Varsity Hockey Program, Newbridge Academy.
