Friday event after the last on and off – ice sessions of the week the boys boarded a bus from East Hants to Truro for an evening in the maze, the “haunted corn maze”. Before the day even begun there were conversations about how uncomfortable guys were before going….a fear of the unknown. Some of the boys looked forward to the evening, some had been there before and a couple just plum said, “I can’t do it.” Really, who could blame them if they didn’t do it, it’s not for everyone.
Before you take on such an adventure, you have to eat and eat the boys did when we stopped at the “Food Truck” fair in Truro. While there, the boys lent a helping hand by bringing in food items for the Colchester Food Bank. For some, the donations of food found themselves with the reward of “muffins”.
After some good eats at the food truck fair, it was on to the haunted corn maze. The boys are still telling the story of how horrifying it really was. It was cold and windy and it only took them around 30 minutes, but we all knew that they were all just “running scared”.
Fun times with the Varsity Hockey Program.
